The Support You Need to Succeed with the Heartburn Relief Kit

How to stay positive on your health journey.

4 min read

Dealing with acid reflux is challenging enough on its own, but the struggle and stress involved in finding a solution can amplify that tenfold. We get it. So when you come across a Facebook ad that promises you the chance of recovery AND an opportunity to get off lifelong heartburn medications, it can be conflicting. You want to trust in it. You want to believe that this is a product that can help you. But that doubt still lingers. And we get that too. This is why we work so hard at promoting and establishing a close relationship with our clients so that they know they can contact us anytime to talk through their concerns and work through their progress. And this blog post is just one part of that process.

You likely already know that, unlike traditional heartburn medications that reduce stomach acidity, the Heartburn Relief Kit plan works by gradually increasing acidity to resolve heartburn symptoms. This process requires patience, trust, and perseverance, as this adjustment in acidity means that some initial discomfort might arise before relief sets in. But in our experience, clients start to see a real turnaround at the six-week mark, and this is what gives them the confidence to stick with the product for the full 120 days.

The key to the Heartburn Relief Kit working for you is getting the dosage right. This is a very personalized thing that will differ from one individual to the next. After all, no two people are going to have the exact same levels of acidity in their gut. You can learn more about this process and how to work on adjusting the dosage to get to a level that works for you in our post: Heartburn Relief Kit: What to Expect

Keeping Your Spirits Up During a Flare Up

As we mentioned, it’s likely that you’ll experience flare-ups from time to time over the course of the plan. But managing these flare-ups isn’t just about handling the physical symptoms; it’s also about keeping yourself on the right track mentally. It’s very easy to get disheartened and feel like you’ve gone backwards when you suddenly get heartburn after weeks of relief, but it’s important to remember that this is a process, and every day is a step forward as long as you’re working through it.

In fact, a sudden bout of acid reflux midway through the plan can often indicate you need to reduce your dose of the Reflux Inhibitor because you no longer need to add as much acid. And this is a good sign! It means your stomach is starting to naturally produce the acid you need to trigger your LES to close and prevent acid reflux.

On the other side of things, it can sometimes mean you need to increase your dosage, especially if you started and stayed on a low dosage, as your system may need a little more acidity than you’re adding. This is why regularly checking in on yourself and how you’re feeling is key to the process. So let’s look at a few tips to help you stay positive and navigate flare-ups as you follow your personalized 120-day plan.

1. Embrace the Process

It’s important to remember that the Heartburn Relief Kit is designed to bring long-term relief by carefully increasing stomach acidity over a period of time. It’s common to experience a few bumps along the way, especially during the initial weeks. Remember, this is a gradual process tailored specifically to your needs. Trust in the plan and give your body time to adjust.

2. Set Realistic Expectations

This isn’t an overnight quick fix. It may take several weeks to find the right dosage and start seeing significant improvements. Setting realistic expectations can help you stay motivated and stop that frustration from taking over. Don’t forget to celebrate the wins along the way - no matter how small - and acknowledge each step you take towards feeling better every single day.

3. Stay Consistent

Consistency is key to the success of the Heartburn Relief Kit. Stick to the plan, even if it feels challenging at times. Regularly taking the Acid Relief (up to 10 daily) and the Reflux Inhibitor (up to 5 before your heaviest meal) is essential for the plan to work effectively and allow your body to heal..

4. Manage Flare-Ups Effectively

We know that flare-ups can be discouraging, but they are a part of the recovery process. Acid Relief is your best friend when these occur as you can take extra as needed, with or without food and up to 10 daily. Also keep in mind that you may need to adjust your Reflux Inhibitor dosage at this time. It’s also important to try to track what causes your flare ups, as it can be due to anything from stress to different foods or medications. Keeping a daily journal is great for this, even if just to detail your food intake.

5. Practice Self-Care and Stress Management

As noted above, stress can exacerbate heartburn symptoms, so incorporating stress management techniques into your routine is something to really consider. Activities like yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises, and regular physical activity can help you stay calm and focused. If yoga or mindfulness isn’t your thing, try a simple walk with your earphones in once a day to allow yourself some time to unwind. And don’t forget to ensure you get enough rest and maintain a balanced diet to help your body to help you.

6. Find a Support System

Dealing with any kind of health condition can take a massive toll on your wellbeing and it’s important to have someone in your corner. Don’t hesitate to reach out for support when you need it. Whether it’s talking to friends and family, joining a support group like our private client Facebook group, or contacting us directly, having a network will provide emotional support and practical advice you need during this time. Sharing your experiences and hearing others’ success stories can be incredibly motivating when you need it most.

7. Focus on Positive Mindset

We know it isn't always easy, but maintaining a positive outlook can significantly impact your recovery journey. When things start to feel tough, try to focus on what’s going well and acknowledge the progress you’ve made. Even try making a list of all you’ve accomplished so far.
